CEMEX confirms preliminary talks with Portuguese government

CEMEX, S.A. de C.V. (NYSE: CX) confirmed today that it has had preliminary discussions with representatives of the government of Portugal to explore business opportunities in the near or medium term with CIMPOR, a Portuguese based international cement company. The conversations do not warrant any further comment at this time.
